Craft & Commerce, Digital Nomad Conference, Brennan Dunn

This month we've got updates from the Digital Nomad Conference, Craft & Commerce, Laracon, 360|iDev, and a short video from Brennan Dunn.

New Conference Updates

DNX Global, the Digital Nomad conference, is confirmed for September 9 - 10 in Lisbon, Portugal. This year's speakers include Natalie Sisson (The Suitcase Entrepreneur), Taavi Kotka (talking about Estonia's E-Residency program) and Fred Perrotta of Tortuga backpacks, talking about how to build your own physical product - and not just dropship or white label products made by others.

New to the list, Craft & Commerce (23 - 25 June 2017, Boise, ID, USA) is a conference from Nathan Barry and the people at ConvertKit. It's for online entrepreneurs, bloggers, podcasters, and vloggers. Topics include goal setting, content marketing, money and metrics and (of course) selling via email. Speakers this year include Seth Godin and James Clear. There's still introductory pricing for a limited time.

Early bird ticket sales finish on May 31 Laracon Europe, the European conference for programmers using the Laravel PHP framework. Speakers this year include Taylor Otwell (of course), Freek van der Herten and Joe Ferguson.

360|iDev is on again in Denver, Colorado on 13 - 16 August. It's one of the best Mac, iOS and watchOS developer conference for indies. Speakers this year include Dave Wiskus, Jean MacDonald & Janie Clayton.

Brennan Dunn: Making Loads Of Cash With Newsletters

From Baconbiz 2013, Brennan Dunn gives a quick 15 minute talk full of actionable advice on how he uses email newsletters. Be consistent (don't let your list go cold), don't treat your newsletter like your personal piggy bank. Ask yourself: "if I stripped away all the sales copy, would I still want to read this?" He suggests writing 3x as many educational/informative emails for every sales-focused message. As self conscious as I feel including a video about newsletters in, uhm, a newsletter, this is one of the most useful conference videos I've seen this year.
